The mandate is to think strategically and help drive best global practices. Simply put, it helps an already successful business maintain its leadership and helps Laureate Online Education define and implement operational initiatives that contribute to a superior student experience and the company's growth. The goal is to meet changing strategic and operational needs, enable, incubate and scale innovation, establish more efficient practices and align functions and stakeholders to help the company continue to achieve its vast potential. The successful candidate will work in a high paced environment reporting to the Director of Student Service & Retention.   Job Description The Project Manager - Operations role starts from defining projects with the highest positive impact, working through the concepts, project planning and forecasting, all the way through to execution and internal development. The activities range from developing internal tools and processes that make the Amsterdam workforce more effective, to developing new approaches, products or services to improve the student experience.   Duties and Responsibilities ·         Works closely with the management team to define, launch and drive mission-critical strategic and operational initiatives for the Amsterdam operations. ·         Conducts external and internal research, to understand current capabilities, processes and tools. ·         Defines project scope, deliverables, resources required and timelines. ·         Project manages each element of initiatives, developing work plans, gathering and synthesising relevant data, leading analyses, and drive final recommendations through to implementation and evaluation. ·         Leads cross-functional regional coordination, alignment and prioritisation. Ensure consistency of processes and plans across functions and channels. ·         Drives best practice sharing and continuous learning across the departments.   Education, Experience & Skills ·         Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or other technical field preferred. ·         You have substantial experience in years in operations management and demonstrable large-scale project management experience delivering full lifecycle business initiatives. ·         Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate with top management team. ·         Demonstrated strong performance in prior roles, with increasing levels of responsibility and independence; demonstrated ability to lead complex operational and strategic initiatives. ·         Excellent networking and influencing skills.
